“Return to Me”, the Heart of Emmanuel

▪︎ Neh 1:9; Zech 1:3 – God calls men to return to Him, but by the end of the Old Testament man has rejected that call… Amos 4:11-12, 13; Joel 2:12, 13;
▪︎ God calls us for one purpose that we may come to Him and find life – Amos 5:4, 6, 14-15;
▪︎ Jesus came to the earth as God’s only begotten Son to call all of human kind to return to God and receive His life – John 1:4-5, 11-12, 13-14.
▪︎ The apostle Matthew described Jesus’ ministry as a fulfilled prophesy from the Old Testament in which He is called Emmanuel which translated means “God with us” – Matt 1:23.
▪︎ Return to Him and experience the life of God yourself – John 5:24, 14:1, 2-3;
▪︎ God says, “return to Me“, and I will return to you – 2Chron 30:9; Ps 116:7; Mal 3:7; Hosea 12:4-5, 6; Acts 3:19;
▪︎ Some reject this option: Hosea 7:10;

life – (ζωή – Greek) – zóé life, both of physical (present) and of spiritual (particularly future) existence, it always (only) comes from and is sustained by God’s self-existent life. The Lord intimately shares His gift of life with people, creating each in His image which gives all the capacity to know His eternal life… Life indeed – John 5:26, 10:10; 1John 1:1, 2, 3; 1Tim 6:17, 18-19; 1Peter 3:10; Luke 12:15; James 4:14; Rom 5:10, 6:23; Deut 30:19; Prov 8:35; John 6:63, John 14:6;
